Learn the basics of painting using acrylics, watercolor, and oil paint. Color mixing, still life, landscape, and abstract painting will be explored. All materials are provided.

See your drawing skills flourish in this course! Students will work from observation, exploring the historic neighborhood and green spaces throughout University Place and Nebraska Wesleyan's nearby campus. Each week students will be encouraged to incorporate a new art medium into their work, such as: pastels, watercolor and more. Class will always meet in the large LUX gallery first and then walk to the drawing location as a group. Class will be held indoors if there are poor weather conditions but alternative drawing options will be provided.

Take your painting skills to the next level! This class will cover various painting techniques and provide additional guidance for students interested in refining their existing skills. This 4 week session will have an additional emphasis on portraiture. All materials are provided but feel free to bring your own if you have them.

Try your hand at painting portraiture! This class will cover the basics of how to depict facial anatomy with various paint mediums and by looking at both images and drawing from life.

Graphite, charcoal, and pastels will be used to represent value, line, and texture. This class runs 2.5 hours and allows for more practice time with the instructor present than our Saturday classes allow. All materials provided.
