Advanced Screenprinting at Constellation Studios

Designed for students with various levels of arts experience, this course focuses on digital, traditional, and experimental methods of screenprinting, and offers in-depth study into water-based printing with an emphasis on conceptual and technical development. Students should possess a basic knowlege of printmaking processes and have some experience with screenprinting. This course is for students 16+. 

Screenprinting, a.k.a. Silkscreen or Serigraphy, is a printmaking technique that utilizes stencils made of silk or a synthetic fabric, which has been stretched over a frame. Students will learn to create their own stencils using a variety of methods, and are encouraged to investigate personal directions in their work as they explore ideas of repetition and the original multiple.
