Camp Care

Camp Care

Program Description

The LUX offers extra care options for working parents! Add Morning Care or Lunch Care to your child’s camp registration. Students must pack a cold lunch if selecting Lunch Care. The LUX has refrigerators for lunches to be stored in and microwaves to heat up food if desired.

Students are allowed to bring books, small toys, and electronics to use during Camp Care. The LUX is not responsible for lost or stolen items. The LUX also has a selection of art books for students to browse, as well as drawing materials and a few board games. Depending on the weather, students can expect to spend 15-30 minutes outside during Lunch Care.

**COVID-19 Update** At this time we are planning on COVID still being an issue in our community this summer. Masks are still required for staff and students when they are not consuming food. The number of participants is limited so we can seat students at a safe distance from each other. If we have a large need for Camp Care, we will split the group into two different classrooms to ensure proper social distancing. Staff will be sanitizing all facilities before and after each Camp Care. If the Lancaster County COVID risk dial moves to yellow or green we will reevaluate and notify parents/guardians of any changes.
