Program Description

This class will cover both traditional and non-traditional embroidery techniques that can be used on clothing, art, or other projects.
 Covered Topics:

– Basic Stitches – creating a sampler.

– Materials.

– Display Techniques.

– Color Blending.

– Photo-transfer.

– Beads and Sequins.

– Mending – Sashiko-inspired stitching for mending clothes.

**COVID-19 Update**
This class meets in person at the LUX Center for the Arts. Masks are required and the number of participants is limited to 6 so we can seat students at a safe distance from each other. Students and staff are also required to wash hands upon arrival to class and to stay home if they feel sick. High-touch classrooms surfaces and tools are also being sanitized between classes.
