In this 4-week class, students will learn how to create beautiful abstract watercolor backgrounds as well as basic block printing techniques. Students will carve their own linoleum relief print and create vivid abstract watercolor backgrounds to print on. Once printed, students will bring out the paints once again to embellish and highlight each print. Once completed the students will walk away with 5, one of a kind prints of their work.

Danny Reneau is a watercolor artist, illustrator and printmaker based in Lincoln, Nebraska. In an age of digital perfection, Danny’s work embraces the happy accidents that come from hand painted illustrations and prints. Danny has shown in galleries throughout Lincoln, and was chosen as one of the 9 Nebraska artists to create woodblock prints for mural installations around Lincoln. He has designed skateboards and apparel, as well as illustrated two children’s books, “The Magic of Winter” and “Max and the Listening Tree”, which can be found in the LUX gift shop. All materials will be provided. This class is for Adults 16+.
