In conjunction with “Surface Impressions: Coloratura” – Nine Nebraska artists have been invited to step into the world of printmaking for a collaborative public art project that will take over walls across Lincoln this summer and fall. 

Led by Constellation Studios and printmaker Karen Kunc, participating artists – many of whom are not traditional printmakers – designed and carved their own large-format woodblocks. The resulting 24” x 36” black-and-white prints come together as a striking composite mural, wheat-pasted at locations throughout the city in unique configurations that create new experiences for viewers at every site while connecting neighborhoods through art. 
 
The project will also continue during LUX's Summerfest, when the same woodblocks will be used for live steamroller printing in the street.
