Teen Handbuilding: Myth and Muse

Teen Handbuilding: Myth and Muse

Program Description

Step into a world of imagination in this clay camp for teens, age 12–15! Students will focus on handbuilding techniques such as coiling, slab building, and pinching as they design an alluring mythical-inspired project.
Campers might create a majestic dragon, a mythical creature, or a fantastical scene drawn from legends and folklore—bringing their ideas to life through creativity, craftsmanship, and personal expression. This camp is perfect for teens who love storytelling and want to transform their imaginative visions into a striking three-dimensional work of art.
All materials, tools, glazes, and kiln firings are provided.

LUX camps are offered for kindergarten graduates through students who are 15 years old. All campers must have completed kindergarten (no exceptions) prior to attending camp and must have basic classroom skills. Students must be at least 9 years old to learn the pottery wheel and age 10 is even better, as the person throwing must be physically large enough to push the clay around. Please select camps based on your child's current age. Kids - Age 5-8 (must have completed Kindergarten), Youth - Age 9-11, and Teens - Age 12-15.

Pre-registration required.
Pick up begins at 4:25 pm.
