Kickstart your weekend with creativity! This class will introduce beginning students to the fundamentals of the pottery wheel and allow more students time to hone their skills. All materials and a selection of hot tea and a fresh pot of coffee from Mo Java Café are provided!  This class is for adults 16+.

Join with a date, family member, friend, or neighbor for a night of fun on the pottery wheel! You are guided through the basics of working on the pottery wheel in this fun and messy workshop! Each participant gets to keep one project from the evening which will be clear glazed and ready approximately two weeks after the workshop. This workshop is for adults 16+.

Intermediate students will learn how to alter, enhance, decorate, or create larger thrown forms by incorporating hand built and multi-piece techniques. Students should already have fundamental knowledge of throwing on the pottery wheel, or have completed Beginning Wheel Throwing. Clay and glazes used will be determined by the instructor. All materials and kiln firings are included. Students also have access to the studio during opening hours throughout this eight-week class. Please refer to the Open Studio Calendar in the Ceramics Center for the most up to date hours. For students 16+

A continuation of the fundamentals of wheel throwing. DIve a little deeper into the basics of throwing, trimming, and glazing by experimenting with different forms and refining techniques. Students will use earthenware clay and low-fire glazes. All materials and kiln firings are included. Pottery wheel experience prior to registering for this class or previous enrollment in Intro to Wheel Throwing or Experience the Wheel required. For students 16+.

An adult must participate in the workshop – the tuition fee covers one individual and you must register for each adult and child attending. Classes are appropriate for ages 5-10. Adults with students ages 5-8 work together on one wheel. Students ages 9+ get their own wheel. Pots will be clear glazed and ready about two weeks after the workshop.

This three-week ceramics course is designed for people with no background in clay looking to experience the wheel in an easy and no-stress environment. This class is a wonderful way to familiarize yourself with our studios and begin joining our community! Students will use earthenware clay and low-fire glazes.
