The Visual Arts Mentoring Program at Lincoln Public Schools invites applications from elementary school children gifted in the visual arts who are then partnered with an artist mentor. Students are encouraged to openly explore their artistic curiosities under the mentors' guidance.

These artists have explored varying diverse medias ranging from papier mâché sculpture to traditional drawing, painting, and ceramics. Through the Lincoln Public Schools Visual Arts Mentoring Program, these students have learned that to be an artist, one must create.
