Group Tours

Bring your group on a tour of the LUX! Multiple tour options are available depending on your group’s needs.

Virtual Tours & Studio Visits

LUX offeres live virtual gallery tours and studio visits with our Artists-in-Residence. These can be booked for any age group - kindergarten through adults.

In-Person Tours

Tours can happen anytime our staff and space are available. During the summer kids group tours + activities can only happen from 12:30-1:30pm due to our summer camp schedule. Please give us two weeks notice to schedule a tour and activity.


Group Tour Options

Adult Group/Family/Club tours – Free, donations encouraged

Lunch and learn sessions on LUX history and programs are available. We provide the tables, chairs, space, and a speaker; you provide the meal for your guests/members. No audio equipment available.

High School & College Student Groups - Free

Kids Group Tours + Activity – $5 to $8 per participant. Activity availabitly is unavailable during the summer months due to our Summer Camp schedule. We can send an invoice, or you can pay with card, check, or cash, the day of. Our classrooms most comfortably fit 12 students at a time. If your group is larger, it is best to come in two or more groups. During the COVID pandemic, our groups are limited to 10 students.

Clay - $8/child – 1 hour - Students will meet for a brief tour of the main building and end with building and glazing their own clay creations. Coil pots are recommended but the exact project can be tailored to your group. All clay projects will be fired and available for pick-up two weeks later.

Paper Marbling - $8/child – 1 hour - Students will meet for a brief tour of the main building and end with learning to use Japanese Suminagashi floating inks to make unique designs on paper. Marbling inks can stain clothes.

Foil Art - $5/child – 45 minutes - Students will meet for a brief tour of the main building and end with making their own foil art.  Silver colored foil we will be used to create unique textured art pieces. This technique is sometimes referred to as tooling, embossing, or tin art, and has its roots in Mexican folk art. One 6”x6” foil sheets will be provided per student.
