Artist Statement
In this series of new work, I am re-exploring the powerful medium of woodcut. Colors are overlayed. Collage elements are added in several pieces. I am now living in the beautiful woods and walk daily . . .connecting. I am thinking a lot about the deep history of this land and the future ahead of us. The rawness of woodcut seems an appropriate way to explore my thoughts.
