In this 5-week class, students will learn the basics of making vessels and sculptures using coils from ceramic Artist in Residence José Galván Martínez. The class will walk students through proper coiling techniques, properly attaching and shaping clay and troubleshooting common issues that arise in coil building and surface treatment options. The class will focus on making dynamic forms and fully utilizing the advantages that coil building offers. No experience required. This class is for Adults 16+.

NOTE: An art class or workshop running is contingent on a minimum of 3 participants being enrolled 48 hours prior to the scheduled class/workshop.
