In this one-day ceramics workshop, participants will learn how to transform their pottery into blooming works of art by carving floral-inspired designs into clay. Using simple carving and surface design techniques, you’ll explore how to shape, layer, and carve into leather-hard clay to create petals and organic textures that make pots resemble flowers. The instructor will cover tool use, carving depth, planning designs, and finishing details to enhance both form and function.

Participants will leave with one carved piece ready to fire. All materials, bisque firing, and glaze firing are included. Finished work will be available for pickup at a later date, as noted by your instructor. This workshop is open to adults ages 16+.
