My work is an ongoing expression of where I find myself--emotionally, spiritually, in place and time, and within culture. For me, creating work feels like an act of synthesis and problem-solving. I’m always wondering how the different aspects of my life can meet, balance, and inform one another, while also leaving room to get swept up in the play of discovering something new. I love engaging with unfamiliar tools and unique processes, while simultaneously honing a very specific skill or developing my craft, and folding these elements into my studio practice to shape how I express and clarify my ideas is challenging, invigorating, educational, and grounding.
