Flow
Flow
"We each interpreted the word flow, literal and figurative, resulting in these pieces."
We are a group of fiber artists organized in 2009 working together to expand our knowledge and push the boundaries of our creativity. We learn, inspire, and support each other in our fiber art endeavors.
Fiber Works is comprised of nine members from Lincoln and surrounding cities in eastern Nebraska. At each meeting, we share what we've learned from workshops, books, new products, show our latest projects and propose challenges for future exhibitions. Our group has led the Surface Design Technique demonstrations on National Quilting Day, held at the International Quilt Museum.
We have exhibited at the International Quilt Museum, The Lux Center for the Arts, The Landing, Bernina Sewing Studio and the Unitarian Church in Lincoln, Jewish Community Center, Lauritzen Gardens and AccuQuilt Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Norfolk Art Museum, Langworthy Gallery, Seward. Our National Parks quilts toured 13 National Parks from New York to Hawaii.
Our members include:
Jo Drueke, Sheila Green, Dorothy Heidemann-Nelson, Cynthia Levis, Roxann O'Hare, Lynne O'Rourke, Cindi Pape, Peg Pennell and Marilyn Rembolt.
