Larsen ELECTRIC is a hybrid exhibition combining the varied practices of Gretchen and Michael Larsen, a sibling duo from Lincoln, whose individual creative and professional pursuits span art-making, lighting design, electrical construction, and art installation.

Larsen ELECTRIC is a somewhat tongue-in-cheek play on the actual name of the family company, while also serving as a metaphor for the grow-light inspiration that powers the two artists’ varied endeavors. The artists’ shared childhood serves as a backdrop for the show. Snakes weave through the grass in LED landscapes, weepy sunflowers bathe in electrified fields, and a small fire burns quietly in a television stick shell.
