Kristine grew up in David City, NE and graduated from UNL in 2000 with an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts, emphasis in Ceramics. After graduation, she began a family and fell into a career in ac-counting. About 7 years ago, She began to focus her free time on her art and 5 years ago, joined the Clements Noyes Art Gallery. Beginning in Jan. 2023, Kristine started a fellowship with the LUX. This show is an accumulation of some of her ceramic work this past year. The LUX has allowed her to experiment with different clay bodies, glazes and kilns. In most of her work, she utilizes the application of hand painted one of a kind underglaze transfers to bring the decoration to life. “I hope to evoke a sense of familiarity and connections, inviting the viewers to draw on their own memories, emotions and narratives”.
