Cassie has spent the past year as a ceramics fellow at the LUX, focusing on functional pieces thrown on the wheel using a variety of high-fire stoneware clays. Recently, she has begun experimenting with mixing contrasting clays and transforming wheel-thrown forms through off-the-wheel alterations. Her work explores the idea of movement, whether it be the clay body, the body of the piece or the glazes used.
