Kids Handbuilt Storybook Camp: Eric Carle Inspired

Kids Handbuilt Storybook Camp: Eric Carle Inspired

Program Description

Dive into the colorful world of storybooks! This camp for kids, age 5–8, combines the magic of classic Eric Carle stories with hands-on art adventures. Campers will explore beloved books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and create their own artwork inspired by the stories. Using mixed media techniques—including layering, painting, colored pencils, ink, and collage—students will experiment with textures, colors, and patterns to bring their illustrations to life. By the end of the camp, each child will have a collection of original, storybook-inspired art that showcases their creativity and imagination. All materials provided.

LUX camps are offered for kindergarten graduates through students who are 15 years old. All campers must have completed kindergarten (no exceptions) prior to attending camp and must have basic classroom skills. Students must be at least 9 years old to learn the pottery wheel and age 10 is even better, as the person throwing must be physically large enough to push the clay around. Please select camps based on your child's current age. Kids - Age 5-8 (must have completed Kindergarten), Youth - Age 9-11, and Teens - Age 12-15.

Pre-registration required.
Pick up begins at 11:55 am.
