Carter Smith has been creating museum quality shibori fabrics for 40 years. Shibori is an elaborate technique involving pleating and tying fabric then applying dyes in layers. Carter's shibori pieces have been exhibited in galleries and museums internationally.

The one of a kind fabric is also used in the original bias cut designs. These have
been worn in film, used in ballet productions and they excel in their ability to flatter
all women.

The designs are timeless, seasonless and completely unique. The fabric is organic
and joyous in its beauty and sensuous comfort. The few pieces of fabric that are
