Ceramics Center

An intermediate course that will focus on developing advanced skills and techniques. Students should already have fundamental knowledge of throwing on the pottery wheel. This class is shorter than our evening pottery wheel classes. Students will use earthenware clay and low-fire glazes. All materials and kiln firings are included. Students also have access to the studio during open hours throughout this four-week class.

This class will introduce basic handbuilding techniques to create animal and nature inspired sculptures out of slabs, coils and pinching. Students will get hands on experience in developing their knowledge of lines, shapes, textures and colors. All clay, glazes, tools, and firing provided.

This class will introduce tweens and teens to the fundamentals of the pottery wheel and allow more advanced students time to hone their skills. All clay, glazes, tools, and firing provided.

Get your family, friends or date together for a fun night of hands-on artmaking! You are guided through the basics of the project by one of our talented teaching artists. 

For youth, an adult must participate in the workshop – the tuition fee covers one individual and you must register for each adult and child attending. Pre-registration is required. Clay and glass projects will be ready two weeks from the class date.
