Students will learn the basics of clay and glaze chemistry. They will be able to experiment with their own recipes and variations of a recipe. They will also learn new techniques to glazing and glaze application. All materials provided. For students 16+.

This class will introduce tweens and teens to the fundamentals of the pottery wheel and allow more advanced students time to hone their skills. All clay, glazes, tools, and firing provided.

Open studio hours are designed to allow students to work on projects independently. An instructor will be available to answer questions as needed. You may sign up for as little as one night or all available dates. Students will have access to our pottery wheel studio but must purchase materials from the Ceramics Center separately (see our website for details.) These supervised open studio hours can be used to start new projects, finish projects in progress, or to practice throwing skills. For students 16+.

Learn to make your own dishes and objects out of clay! Specific projects rotate each time and are listed below. Projects will be ready two weeks from the class date. 

For youth, an adult must participate in the workshop – the tuition fee covers one individual and you must register for each adult and child attending. Classes are appropriate for ages 5-105 however, children who do not yet follow instructions should plan to collaborate with a parent/guardian. Pre-registration is required
