Kids Storybook Camp: Eric Carle Inspired Printmaking
Kids Storybook Camp: Eric Carle Inspired Printmaking
This art camp for kids, age 5–8, combines storytelling and creativity, inspired by the colorful world of Eric Carle. Campers will explore beloved books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, then create their own storybook art using printmaking and collage techniques. Students will experiment with color, texture, and pattern through hands-on activities such as monoprinting, stamping, and painting on paper. They’ll then use their printed papers to cut, layer, and collage unique illustrations—just like Eric Carle! By the end of the week, each young artist will have their own collection of vibrant story-inspired prints to take home. All materials provided.
LUX camps are offered for kindergarten graduates through students who are 15 years old. All campers must have completed kindergarten (no exceptions) prior to attending camp and must have basic classroom skills.
