Youth Painting and Drawing from Nature
Youth Painting and Drawing from Nature
In this camp for youth, age 9–11, students will spend time both inside and outside (weather permitting) exploring the natural world through painting and drawing. Campers will learn to observe and interpret landscapes, plants, and other elements of nature, experimenting with styles ranging from impressionistic to representational to abstract. A variety of materials—including paints, colored pencils, and pastels—will be introduced as students practice essential techniques in composition, color mixing, texture, and shading. This camp encourages creativity, observation skills, and hands-on exploration of the beauty found in the world around us.
Perfect for beginners and budding young artists alike! All materials provided.
LUX camps are offered for kindergarten graduates through students who are 15 years old.
