Kids Handbuilt Storybook Camp: Wild Things!
Kids Handbuilt Storybook Camp: Wild Things!
Inspired by Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are, this camp invites kids, age 5-8, to explore basic handbuilding techniques in pottery. They will create their own wild creatures using methods like slabs, coils, and pinching, bringing their imaginative "wild things" to life through clay. All materials, tools, and firing are provided. Participants should wear clothes that can get messy.
LUX camps are offered for kindergarten graduates through students who are 15 years old. All campers must have completed kindergarten (no exceptions) prior to attending camp and must have basic classroom skills. Students must be at least 9 years old to learn the pottery wheel and age 10 is even better, as the person throwing must be physically large enough to push the clay around. Please select camps based on your child's current age. Kids - Age 5-8 (must have completed Kindergarten), Youth - Age 9-11, and Teens - Age 12-15.
