In this six-week class students will learn a multitude of wheel throwing techniques with a variety of demonstrations, fun exercises, and assignments to hone their skills and harness the spiral. Students will begin with the basics (wedging, centering, cylinders, trimming, attachments) to start and work our way through the foundational forms of handmade pottery.
In this six-week class students will learn to make various types of custom pottery tools for their wheel throwing practice. Tools are an integral part of working with clay and making custom tools can help empower you in your process and take your work to new heights!

Kickstart your weekend with creativity! This class will introduce beginning students to the fundamentals of the pottery wheel and allow more students time to hone their skills. All materials and a fresh pot of coffee from Mo Java Café are provided!

A quick and dirty class that lets you dip your toe into the basics of wheel-thrown pottery. This three-week ceramics course is designed for people with no background in clay looking to experience the wheel in an easy and no-stress environment. This class is a wonderful way to familiarize yourself with our studios and begin joining our community! Students will use earthenware clay and low-fire glazes. All materials and kiln firings are included. This class is for adults 16+
Saturday from 12pm-2pm activities will be provided for young artists 10 -15 years old and their adult caregivers.
LUX Teaching Artists will provide instruction and inspiration as children learn the basics of the pottery wheel! Participants are welcome to come every week or as few as 2 weeks to have work fired.
