In this 8-week class, students will explore porcelain as a material for wearable art while learning ceramic decorating techniques specifically suited for jewelry making. Participants will design and create porcelain beads, earrings, and pendants, focusing on clean construction, durability, and refined surface detail. Techniques may include stamping, carving, slip decoration, underglaze, decals, luster, and glaze applications. Students will leave with a small collection of finished, wearable porcelain jewelry.This class includes bisque, glaze, and luster firings along with related glazes, decals, and lusters. This class is for adults 16+.
Pre-registration is required.
NOTE: An art class or workshop running is contingent on a minimum of 3 participants being enrolled 48 hours prior to the scheduled class/workshop. Cancellation notices will be emailed, and you may respond with an alternate class/workshop choice or request a refund. You’re encouraged to invite a friend to ensure that your class/workshop runs.
