Printmaking Studio Information
The LUX Center for the Arts hosts small group printmaking classes, private lessons, and both beginning and experienced artists can use the space to create their own personal artwork.
A variety of options are available to meet the needs of artists at every level.
Equipment and Resources
Dolezal Printmaking Studio – 670 sq. ft. teaching studio with Takach Etching Press (26×40″ bed) silkscreen supplies, and power-washing booth. Located in the Education Wing at the LUX.
Gladys Lux Print Collection – a museum space where exhibitions change quarterly and are curated out of our collection of 400 historic prints. Prints were collected by our founder Gladys Lux to use as teaching tools for her university students. Located in the main LUX building on the 2nd floor.

LUX Printmaking Fellowship
- This is a work exchange program that gives users studio access. Click here to apply for this program.
- Note: three references, background check, and proof of vaccination are required for this level.
- Designed for those who can work independently and intend to be in the studio many times a week.
- This option is best for those who are motivated and community oriented.
- We ask that applicant have prior experience with printmaking.
Artist-in-Residence - 2D Media and Printmaking
- LUX offeras a year-long professional development residency program for artists who have a Master of Fine Arts degree, or equivalent experience, and intend to make printmaking their career. Click here for full details and to apply for this program.
- Constellation Studios offers short-term residencies for artists intersted in printmaking, papermaking, book arts, letter press, and more. Click here for details and application information.
Constellation Studios is another great printmaking resource in Lincoln ran by artist Karen Kunc. They have large printmaking presses, papermaking equipment, bookmaking equipment, and more. They host workshops, classes, print exhibitions, and artists-in-residence with onsite housing. You can rent access to Constellation Studios for the day for $40 or purchase a monthly membership for $180. Residencies start at $450 per week including housing.
