Explore two techniques for adding surface detail to post glaze fired ceramics in this hands-on workshop. Students will learn how to apply ceramic decals and lusters to create decorative accents, patterns, and finished surfaces. The workshop will cover basic decal application, including placement, preparation, and smoothing, as well as an introduction to applying ceramic lusters for metallic and lustrous effects. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with both techniques and learn best practices for achieving clean, successful results. Participants may bring 5-10 glaze fired pieces to decorate. An assortment of decals and lusters will be provided, but feel free to bring in your own to use. All pieces will require an additional firing after the workshop with a scheduled pickup date provided by the instructor. All materials included.  No experience necessary. This workshop is open to adults ages 16+
