En plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air,” and refers to the act of painting outdoors with the artist's subject in full view. In this weekly drop-in workshop, participants will be introduced to landscape drawing and flora/fauna drawing en plain air using various pens, brush pens, graphite pencils, etc.

Each Saturday morning, the workshop will meet at the LUX Center for the Arts with participants moving to a nearby location to draw en plein air. In case of inclement weather, the workshop will be held at the LUX. Participants must either walk to or provide transportation to alternate location and should bring a folding chair. All materials will be provided. This class is for adults 16+.
