Learn to use a variety of art techniques and materials! Each class will focus on learning about a new art medium and creating a finishing a piece of your own. Clay, painting, drawing, and mixed media will be explored. 

At this time we are anticipating COVID still being an issue in our community. Masks are still required for all staff and students. LUX staff will work to maintain a sanitized facility. If the Lancaster COVID risk dial moves to green, we will re-evaluate and notify students of any changes.

Explore your voice through creative expression! Expressions of Art and Hope is a series of free art classes for individuals living with and beyond cancer. All participants must register individually. Classes take place at the LUX Center for the Arts.

Explore your voice through creative expression! Expressions of Art and Hope is a series of free art classes for individuals living with and beyond cancer. All participants must register individually​. Classes take place at the LUX Center for the Arts.

Students will have a blast learning about different artists, painting techniques and styles each week. Student will make their own paintings and drawings in the style of a famous artist while learning basic paint mixing, drawing, and brushwork techniques. Lessons change from month to month so repeat class takers can try it all!

All students must register for this class at least 24 hours in advance. Please wear older clothes and shoes as they may get messy or stained.

Students will have a blast learning about all kinds of art! Everyone will have a chance to explore painting, drawing, ceramics, and mixed media art. Projects will change daily and from camp to camp so our repeat campers can try it all and build their skills all summer long.

Learn to think outside the box by connecting Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics! Multiple art mediums will be explored as students incorporate STEAM topics into their art projects.

Students will work with copper, nickel, and brass to learn how to shape, form and fuse metal! Make your own jewelry and art while learning to create texture with the rolling mill, attach with an acetylene torch, and finish your own unique metal projects.
