Learn to think outside the box by connecting Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics! Multiple art mediums will be explored as students incorporate STEAM topics into their art projects. The theme for this week is the Universe. Projects may include watercolor/salt planet paintings, solar system mobiles, cardboard rockets and space crafts, 3-D pen stars, and clay aliens. All materials are provided.

Kids ages 5-8 will learn and practice the elements and principles of art and design while examining objects up close, viewing them from a new and interesting perspective! Students will experiment with a magnifying tool and a "viewfinder" (a piece of cardboard with a small hole allowing students to focus on specific details by blocking out distractions) and might paint, draw, print, collage the details they discover! All materials are provided.

Eco art, also known as environmental art, is a contemporary art form that explores and responds to ecological and environmental concerns. Teens ages 12-15 in this camp will explore various art techniques, including sculpture, assemblage, collage, painting, and drawing, while repurposing everyday discarded materials like plastic bottles and containers, packaging, recycled paper, glass, metal, egg cartons, wire and cardboard into unique sculptures. Students can also bring additional found objects, such as feathers, stones, and seashells, to incorporate into their creations.

This camp is designed for beginners to learn the basics of crochet, a needle craft that involves using a single crochet hook to create textiles by interweaving loops of yarn, thread, or other materials. Whether picking up needles for the first time or looking to refresh your skills, this camp will guide Youth ages 9-11 through the essentials to set you on the path towards creating your own beautiful pieces. Projects may include coasters, doilies, dishcloths, flowers, and wall hangings. All materials provided.

This art camp for kids ages 5-8 offers a fun, creative introduction to art through storytelling. Students will read classic Eric Carle books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, then engage in various art activities inspired by the stories. Students will learn how to use the technique of layering along with colored pencils, paint, ink, and more to create original textures they can collage to make pictures and illustrations.

In this camp, youth ages 9-11 will create various projects using "lots of dots" in paintings, drawings, and sculptures. Students will learn about artists who incorporate dots in their art, including George Seurat, the founder of the Pointillism movement, and contemporary Japanese pop artist Yayoi Kusama. This camp encourages children ages 5-8 to think creatively by integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM). They will explore various art forms while learning about pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, in celebration of National Pollinators Week (June 16-22). Kids will research these creatures and their habitats, then create art projects inspired by their findings, using a variety of art mediums. All materials provided.

Explore the versatility of metalsmithing and make your own jewelry out of bronze and copper metal clay! In addition to learning different ways of utilizing bronze metal clay, students will also learn how to add color to copper using enamels. All supplies and tools are provided.
