Sprig Mold-Making Class
Sprig Mold-Making Class
Learn the fundamentals of mold-making in this hands-on, 3-day workshop led by LUX artist-in-residence David Kruk. You’ll design and sculpt your own imagery in clay, then transform it into a reusable plaster sprig mold—a simple tool for creating detailed, dimensional decorations on your pottery.
From mixing and pouring plaster to pressing and applying your finished sprigs, you’ll move through the full process and see your ideas come to life on freshly made forms. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a set of custom molds and decorated pieces to take home, with the option to glaze your work after firing.
All materials and kiln firings are included, and masks will be provided for plaster work. Pieces will be low fired to cone 04. No experience necessary. This workshop is for Adults 16+
Pre-registration is required.
NOTE: An art class or workshop running is contingent on a minimum of 3 participants being enrolled 48 hours prior to the scheduled class/workshop.
