Needle Felt Herbology
Needle Felt Herbology
Taking time for mindfulness, this workshop explores the meditative qualities of needle felting alongside the imaginative possibilities of herbology. Students will begin with a short, guided reflection, considering what they need more of in their lives and how a “magical” plant might support their wellbeing. From there, each participant will design and create their own needle felted potted herb, with a plant visible above the surface and a hidden element revealed below. Artist in Residence Alex Renbarger will demonstrate needle felting techniques, including working with wire armatures and combining different felting materials. LUX provides a head start with small pots made by Ceramic Artist in Residence David Kruk and custom armature bases. No experience necessary. All materials are provided. This class is for students aged 16+
Pre-registration required.
