2-D with a Cup of Tea: Book Binding & Book Arts
Join us on Saturday mornings for our 2-D with a Cup of Tea series, where LUX Artist-in-Residence Madison Svendgard will introduce participants to a wide variety of 2-D mediums and techniques while enjoying a selection of hot tea and a fresh pot of coffee from Mo Java Café!
This 4-week course will cover a variety of different book binding methods including saddle stitch (perfect for small pamphlets and zines), Japanese stab binding (an exposed and decorative binding), and coptic stitch (a lay-flat stitch perfect for journals and sketchbooks). Students will leave the course with 3 handmade books. All materials are provided. This class is for Adults 16+.
Pre-registration is required.
NOTE: An art class or workshop running is contingent on a minimum of 3 participants enrolled 48 hours prior to the scheduled class/workshop. Cancellation notices will be emailed, and you may respond with an alternate class/workshop choice or request a refund. You are encouraged to invite a friend to ensure that your class/workshop runs!
