Advanced Wheel Throwing
Advanced Wheel Throwing
Advanced Wheel Throwing is a class designed for those ready to take their pottery to the next level by developing their unique voice in clay. Using a mix of fun exercises, thoughtful assignments, and thorough demonstrations, students will learn to hone their throwing skills and sharpen their critical thinking. Students should already have extensive knowledge of throwing on the pottery wheel. This class will use high fire stoneware and conclude with a cone 10 gas reduction firing. One bag of commercial stoneware, kiln firings, and related glazes are included. Students also have access to the studio during open hours throughout this eight-week class. Please refer to the Open Studio Calendar in the Ceramics Center for the most up-to-date hours. This class is for students 16+.
Pre-registration is required.
NOTE: An art class or workshop running is contingent on a minimum of 3 participants enrolled 48 hours prior to the scheduled class/workshop. Cancellation notices will be emailed, and you may respond with an alternate class/workshop choice or request a refund. You are encouraged to invite a friend to ensure that your class/workshop runs!
