Program Description

A continuation of the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Dive a little deeper into the basics of throwing, trimming, and glazing by experimenting with different forms and refining techniques in this six week class. Students will use earthenware clay and low-fire glazes. 

Pottery wheel experience prior to registering for this class or previous enrollment in Intro to Wheel Throwing or Experience the Wheel required. If you are unsure that Beginning Wheel Throwing is the right fit for you, please consult your current instructor or Ceramics Center Manager, Neil Celani, for guidance. Students also have access to the studio during open hours throughout this six-week class. Please refer to the Open Studio Calendar in the Ceramics Center for the most up-to-date hours. All materials and kiln firings are included. This class is for Adults 16+.

Pre-registration is required.
