Incense Holders Workshop
Incense Holders Workshop
Incense has a rich history spanning thousands of years and has been used for religious worship, meditation, ceremony, aromatherapy, and creating a comforting atmosphere through fragrance. In this one-night ceramics workshop with Artist-in-Residence David Kruk, participants will be guided through the process of creating their own stick and cone incense holders out of clay. Students will learn basic handbuilding techniques and work with slabs and molds to create the foundation for their incense holders, with plenty of creative freedom to explore unique designs and sculptural elements that give their work a personal touch. Finished pieces will be clear glazed by the instructor and fired to cone 04. All materials and kiln firings are included. No experience necessary. This workshop is for adults 16+.
Pre-registration required.
NOTE: An art class or workshop running is contingent on a minimum of 3 participants being enrolled 48 hours prior to the scheduled class/workshop. Cancellation notices will be emailed, and you may respond with an alternate class/workshop choice or request a refund. You’re encouraged to invite a friend to ensure that your class/workshop runs.
