Intermediate wheel students will build skills and fluency with clay by exploring the foundations of the pottery wheel with a variety of fun exercises and loose assignments. The class will begin with an overview of the basics (wedging, centering, pulling, etc) to build a solid foundation and help give students confidence to take on more complex forms. Students will learn, in depth, about the process of turning clay into ceramic including drying stages and moisture management, firing processes, decorating techniques, fixing mistakes, planning forward, and more.
