In this workshop with Artist-in-Residence Stacy Larson, participants will use Argentium silver (highly tarnish-resistant, hypoallergenic, brighter and stronger than sterling) and learn to design and create their own earrings! The workshop will cover basic fabrication methods and how to shape, file, sand, and texture your pieces. Participants will leave with a couple of pairs of earrings ready to wear. Join us on Saturday mornings for our 2-D with a Cup of Tea series, where LUX Artist-in-Residence Madison Svendgard will instruct a drawing class on composition and value. In this drawing class students will learn various ways to create engaging compositions and iterate to create the best composition for their subject or concept in mind. All materials provided. Grab your family or friends or come on your own and join us for a fun evening of hands-on fall themed artmaking! You are guided through the basics of creating a fused glass object by one of our talented teaching artists. For youth under age 12, an adult must participate in the workshop. The tuition fee covers one individual and you must register for each person attending. Glass projects will be ready two weeks from the class date. This workshop is for Ages 9+.

In this 4-week course, students will work together to create artwork that can be used to raise funds for a cause of their choice.  Throughout, students will learn different methods of creating designs that share their unique voices and help to create meaningful change in their community through the creation of linocut prints, zines/books, postcards, and stickers.  The class will culminate with a First Friday show on November 7th in the Education Wing at LUX where students will be able to display their art made in the class and raise donations for the charity of thei
